  • Big Analysis Update: Now Supporting All Disciplines

    TL;DR

Big Analysis now supports all-discipline search. Beyond PubMed, you can now explore virtually any research field with visual insights into growth trends, geographic distribution, top institutions, top journals, experts (and their contact information) and more.

Where do we start a new research topic? Reading hundreds of papers one by one takes time. And even after hours of reading, it's still difficult to see the bigger picture.

That's exactly why we built Big Analysis.

Simply enter a keyword, and Big Analysis automatically searches the literature and turns thousands of papers into an easy-to-read overview.

Previously, Big Analysis relied primarily on the PubMed database, making it especially useful for medicine, biology, neuroscience, and related disciplines.

With this update, Big Analysis now supports multidisciplinary search.

Whether you're studying psychology, education, computer science, materials science, physics, economics, or the humanities, you can now explore your field with the same powerful visual analysis.

Suppose you're interested in "second language learning" and "anxiety."

Simply choose Default Database (All Disciplines) and click Search.

In just a few seconds, Big Analysis analyzes 7,012 related publications, giving you a comprehensive overview of the entire research landscape.

Now compare that with the same search in PubMed.
Because PubMed focuses on biomedical literature, multidisciplinary topics often return far fewer papers.

Below the Author Network, you'll find a ranked list of researchers by publication count, making it easy to identify leading experts and potential collaborators.

You can export both the analysis results and the complete publication list directly from the Export section.

You can now right-click any chart to copy or save it. All exported figures have transparent backgrounds, making them easy to use in papers, presentations, posters, and more.

Sometimes, the fastest way to understand a field is to see the whole picture first.

Give Big Analysis a try and see your research field from a new perspective.

  • Over 80 Scientific Papers Have Cited Stork

    TL;DR

Stork has now been cited in 82 scientific papers, from 7 countries and more than 40 universities and research institutions. And the pace is picking up: nearly a quarter of those citations arrived in just the past eight months. Thank you for making Stork part of your research!

What would it look like if we pinned every paper that cites Stork onto a world map?

Something like the picture above: pins scattered across Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania — a research footprint that keeps on growing.

Behind those pins are 82 publications covering a remarkable range of fields: medicine, life sciences, agriculture, materials science, environmental science, engineering, and psychology.

Most of them appeared in SCI- and SSCI-indexed journals, including high-impact titles such as Science Bulletin and Advanced Functional Materials.

It all started with a single citation in 2017. Back then, Stork mainly helped researchers track and read papers. Today, it supports analysis, writing, and publication — the entire research workflow.

Here’s the part that amazes us most. When we last counted in October 2025, the total had just passed 60. In other words: it took eight years to gather the first 60 citations — and only eight months to add the next 20.

And these recent citations tell a story of their own. They come from materials science, agriculture, environmental science, and psychology — a sign that Stork has grown well beyond its roots in biomedicine into a truly multidisciplinary research platform.

So which features are researchers thanking in their papers? The clear favorite is the Writing Assistant:

" The text in this paper was polished and significantly improved by Stork's Writing Assistant (https:// http://www.storkapp.me/writeassistant/)."

Writing Assistant polishes your text, corrects grammar, and expands paragraphs — and with its Word Add-in, you can do all of this without ever leaving your document.

Researchers also frequently credit Big Analysis and Citation Network:

"The authors would like to thank Stork (https://www.storkapp.me/) for their invaluable support and resources that greatly assisted the review."

Big Analysis gives you a bird’s-eye view of an entire field in minutes: growth trends, geographic distribution, leading experts (with their contact information), plus genes, diseases, brain regions, and more.

Citation Network helps you spot the classic, must-read papers in a field within minutes — more research, less effort.

Stork's AI Paper is a rising star, too. It creates a structured first draft for you, so the hardest part of writing — getting started — becomes much easier.

To everyone who has used, cited, or recommended Stork: thank you. Our goal remains the same as it was on day one — to help you spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on discovery, critical thinking, and scientific innovation.

  • Sentence Sea Update: Filter Sentences by Journal Impact Factor

    TL; DR

Sentence Sea advanced feature just got an upgrade. You can now filter results based on the journal impact factor of the source articles.

Sentence Sea is a huge sentence database containing hundreds of millions of English sentences (and growing). It’s a powerful way to enrich your writing with example sentences, find literature to support your points, and compare research methods.

But with so many results, it can sometimes be overwhelming to quickly find exactly what you need.

To make things faster and more intuitive, Sentence Sea now allows you to filter sentences by the impact factor of their source journals.

Simply go to Option → Impact Factor, select your preferred range, and instantly narrow down to sentences that better match your needs.

This means you can not only find expressions that closely align with your ideas, but also prioritize sentences from high-quality journals.

    A quick tip:

While impact factor filtering is helpful, setting the range too narrowly might reduce relevance. Check both full and filtered results to balance relevance and quality.

If you’re working on an English paper, this update is definitely worth trying!

  • Listen to Papers • Podcast Update: You Can Now View & Edit the Script

    TL; DR

Stork's podcast feature now lets you view and edit the script before generating podcast, so you’re not just listening, you’re creating.

Stork’s "Listen to Papers • Podcast" advanced feature has always been both fun and practical. Instead of staring at a screen, you can simply put on your headphones and listen to papers while commuting, walking, or even cooking.

And it does more than just read papers aloud. When you upload a PDF, Stork turns it into a natural two-host podcast, making complex research easier to follow.

Now, before the audio is generated, you can preview and edit the script yourself.

After you upload a PDF or text, Stork first generates a script for preview and editing. Once your edits are done, click [Generate Audio] to turn it into the final podcast.

This update gives you more control over the content and opens up more ways to use it:

    • Understand papers more easily. Listen to key ideas in a lighter, more accessible format.

    • Create your own academic podcast. Edit the script and turn it into content you can share on social media.

    • Use it in teaching. Teachers can adjust the script based on their lesson goals and use it as classroom material.

We hope you enjoy creating with Stork Podcast.

  • AI Figure Update: Better Prompt Understanding, Better Figures

    TL; DR

Stork's advanced feature AI Figure has been updated: (1) Better prompt understanding: AI Figure now can interpret prompt more accurately and generate more precise visual elements. (2) More stable image quality during edits: images remain clear and well-structured even after multiple edits.

When writing papers or preparing submissions, researchers often need to create figures. But making these visuals can take a surprising amount of time.

With AI Figure, you can quickly generate a research diagram and then refine it through follow-up instructions.

With the latest update, AI Figure does a better job of understanding prompts, and the images stay more stable through multiple edits.

    Better prompt understanding

In earlier versions, some complex instructions could be interpreted imperfectly. The new version improves how AI Figure understands natural language instructions.

For example, imagine you want to draw a 2 (Teacher presence: camera on vs. camera off) × 2 (Student presence: camera on vs. camera off) experimental design.

The old version sometimes struggled to keep the teacher-on/student-off and teacher-off/student-on conditions symmetrical, even after a couple of edits.

With the updated AI Figure, the system understands the structure immediately and generates a clean, well-balanced experimental design diagram in one step.

More stable image quality during edits

Another major improvement is image quality. The images are better overall, and it also holds up better after multiple edits. That makes it much easier to keep refining the same figure without it becoming blurry or visually inconsistent.

The example below compares the old version (left) and the updated version (right), both after four rounds of editing.

Overall, this update makes it much easier to refine research diagrams step by step. If you are working on scientific figures for a paper, proposal, or presentation, AI Figure is worth trying.

AI Figure is an advanced feature offered by Stork, which requires subscription (registered users can try 5 figures for free).
